Is your WordPress Hacked ?
WordPress Users – Check you ceche files for this hack
If you use or, have used in the past, a wordpress ceche file in the root of wpcontent open it in a text editor.
If you see this code delete it;
eval(base64_decode(“ZXJyb3JfcmVwb3J0aW5……..(a long line of similer charactors)………..”));
Then you have been hacked !
This is base64 code which will be converted by your browser into a redirect to a malware site.
Safest way to deal with this problem – Download your full site and use a text editor like notebo ok++. Use search with “Search in files” option. Place the part of the code given above in the search box and select the folder you downloaded your site to. Click find to get a list of all the file this code is found in. If you no longer use the ceche plugin then delete the files and also remember to delete their statments in your htaccess file.
If you don’t check your wordpress site for this hack, pretty soon you’ll visit your site only to find the nice red warning placed on it by Google. This warning will also show under your indexed pages in google.
Hope that helps.
